If there is one thing I love spending money on in fashion, it has to be accessories. I truly believe that you can be wearing all Target, but you can elevate the look in a second with a great pair of shoes or a fabulous bag on your arm. My ultimate shoe candy has to be anything by Manolo Blahnik. I first heard of Manolo in the mid-90s after Princess Diana died. My fascination (some might say obsession) with royalty happened in September 1997 after Diana died. I poured over huge fashion books documenting Diana's style evolution and Manolo Blahnik pumps we're a fixture in her wardrobe after her separation from Prince Charles in 1992 until her death. Below she is seen leaving Mr. Blahnik's studio in London in 1993 and then attending an event for the Serpentine Gallery on the night Prince Charles admitted his affair in 1994 in custom-made Manolos.

My love of Manolo was further solidified while watching Sex and the City and I finally got my first pair for my junior prom in April 2005 (blush pink suede strappy sandals that I still ohhh and ahhh at when I going through my shoes). There is nothing like getting your first pair of Manolos. The way they fit your feet (my mom calls them her "slippers") with fabulous toe cleavage and they add that extra ounce of sexiness into your step. If you don't own a pair yet, I highly suggest you invest in a pair as they will change your life (well, not really but your feet will be pampered and you will look oh so chic)!
